Sanctuary Music + Aesthetics Throwing down big bucks for a digital audio system can cause some budget-related anxiety, but the folks at this South Loop shop make the process painless. The store is divided into full-size rooms (such as den and home theater) so you can see—make that hear—the high-end Meridian audio equipment (starting at $2,000) in action. Co-partner Charles Jones encourages shoppers to bring in their own music for even more hands-on shopping. Adding to the guy’s-sanctuary theme, the store offers cigar accessories such as ashtrays and cutters. You’ll also find monthly events focusing on the finer things in life, such as golf tips from a pro, cooking demos and Scotch tastings. 1400 S Michigan Ave (312-957-1202, sanctuaryonmichigan.com).
