Sofia
Don’t let the name of this award confuse you. We’ve been big fans of Sofia since it opened in Chicago three years ago, and it’s only gotten better with age. After two relocations (from Clark and Division to Oak Street and, most recently, a hop around the block to Walton Street, not to mention a summer pop-up in Malibu, California), Highland Park native Ashley Zisook’s Sofia has developed a name among serious shoppers and celebs. The store’s new Walton location has dropped the vintage clothing section, focusing exclusively on hard-to-find designer men’s and women’s wear with lines such as Winter Kate, shoes, accessories and a small selection of home goods, including a housemade candle line. 100 E Walton St, suite 106 (312-640-0878).—Jessica Herman
