It was a wet, soggy morning in downtown Chicago, but nowhere near as water-logged as Recife, Brazil, where the US Men's National Team squared off against Germany in the final game of group play in the World Cup. We didn't need to win, only to see Ghana lose (but not by too much). Despite a couple of fantastic chances, the Americans could not score, losing 0-1 to the European juggernaut.
It was a tense second half, after Ghana netted a goal, putting American hopes in danger. As you can see by the tension on some of these fans' faces.
But who cares, we're moving onward. Let's do this again on Tuesday?
Here's where to watch the World Cup. It's better in a crowd.
