Ghost the Musical to play Oriental Theatre

Ghost the Musical

Ghost the Musical

Ghost the Musical, adapted from the 1990 film that gave the world the classic line "Molly, you in danger, girl" and re-gave the world "Unchained Melody," will bring its special effects and sensual pot-throwing to Chicago's Oriental Theatre in January as part of its first national tour.

The show, with a score by Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics and pop producer Glen Ballard (yes, "Unchained Melody" is there, too) and a book by original screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin, originated in London in 2011 before playing Broadway briefly last year to pretty tepid reviews. It received Tony Award nominations for scenic and lighting design and featured actress (for Da'Vine Joy Randolph in the same role that won Whoopi Goldberg the Oscar), but not in any of the major categories. Ghost the Musical will haunt the Oriental January 7–19. See for more information.
