Time Out says

Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that events are still happening.

Instead of gathering in the Spirit of Music Garden in Grant Park, this year Chicago Summerdance is going online. Throughout the month of July, all ages and skill levels are welcome at this streaming event series that will allow you to practice your jives, twirls and jumps. Gather with some friends and tune into the live stream on Wednesday evenings (and the Fourth of July) to take a 30-minute dance lesson followed by 60 minutes of music to dance to.

July 1: House Music, lesson from Imania Detry, music by DJ Deeon
July 4: Salsa, lesson from Latin Street, music by Afinca’o
July 8: Bollywood & Bhangra, lesson from Bollywood Groove, music by DJ iLLEST
July 15: Swing, lesson from May I Have This Dance, music by The Flat Cats
July 22: Cumbia, lesson from Latin Rhythms, music by Carpacho y Su Super Combo
July 29: Line dancing, lesson from Fre2Dance, music by DJ Chico (Adrian Kirkland)
