Video | Mark Banks of Occupy Chicago

It was harder to find Occupy Chicago today, meeting just off Michigan Avenue after a march with Jesse Jackson, than it was to find spokesperson Mark Banks in the throng of protesters. When the marchers returned to their post in front of the Federal Reserve, just across from the Chicago Board of Trade, the shouted slogans settled down to a lull and I was pointed to Banks. Even with little sleep and two week's worth of protesting behind him, Banks had no problem staying on message. We chatted while the protesters awaited the afternoon's pizza delivery. Today, the Occupy Chicago group posted demands on its website which make for an interesting bit of reading, especially for those that have found the Wall Street protests vague and unfocused. Certainly the so-called "grass roots" Tea Party movement didn't have a ten-point plan two weeks into its existence?
