Sip cocktails on the Robie House’s balcony and meander through the dimly lit dining rooms like you own the place. Tonight’s After Hours at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House (Robie House, 5757 S Woodlawn Ave;; 5–8pm; $35, members $30), organized by Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust, lets you casually take in your elegant surroundings with hors d’oeuvres and drinks from an open bar. Stay sober enough to discuss the modern masterpiece with available docents.

Help female migrant farmworkers by taking a stand against sexual violence. At this afternoon’s Bandana Project (Chicago Cultural Center, Sidney R. Yates Gallery, 78 E Washington St;; noon–3pm; free), go to town bedazzling a bandana—your wrap symbolizes support of farmworkers who cover their faces in an attempt to avoid unwanted sexual attention. The workshop is organized by Southern Poverty Law Center in conjunction with Chicago Cultural Center’s current exhibit “Off the Beaten Path: Violence, Women and Art.”
