Your perfect weekend | Glee Live + Beach Rescue + Dose Market

Six things to do this weekend

Friday, Jun 3

Celebrating the recent legalization of civil unions, advocate group the Civil Rights Agenda throws the fund-raiser Unite with Pride (1601 N Clark St; 5:30–9pm; uniting couples $75, guests $50). The evening provides an affordable opportunity to be civilly united at Chicago History Museum’s beautiful plaza—photography, food and flowers included. Those who aren’t looking to get hitched can support the cause by purchasing a guest ticket and reveling at the reception in the beautiful Chicago Room and meandering through the new LGBTQ history exhibit “Out in Chicago.”

We’ll admit it: One of our biggest guilty pleasures is watching the Glee kids prance around McKinley High School and croon about teen angst. Tonight, Rachel, Finn, Sue and the crew appear in the flesh at Glee Live! (Allstate Arena, 6920 N Mannheim Rd, Rosemont; 877-686-5366; 8pm; $73–$1,205). If the show is more than a mere indulgence for you, shell out beaucoup bucks for a meet-and-greet VIP package.
