[REGISTRATION HAS BEEN FILLED]. Registration is required and limited to 40 people.

Presented in partnership with the East Cleveland Public Library

This interactive workshop presentation combines performance, storytelling, slide shows, and video to illuminate the powerful symbiosis between art and activism. Using their motto, "Art is Our Weapon, Our Medicine, Our Voice, and Our Vision," as a guide, Alixa Garcia and Naima Penniman of Climbing PoeTree will share tactics and strategies from their experience as cultural workers, illuminating how poetry, media-making, creative interventions, and collaborative public art can be used to strengthen our movements for social justice. Plus participants will interact with and contribute to S.T.I.T.C.H.E.D., a growing tapestry of Stories, Testimonies, Intentions, Truths, Confessions, Healing, Expressions, and Dreams Climbing PoeTree has collected and stitched together from more than 5,000 audience members and workshop participants across the country.

Registration is limited to 40 participants. Children are welcome, but the event is geared toward high school age and older.
