Dead Buckeye Six, Polar Bear Upstairs, Earlygirl

Dead Buckeye Six play an art damaged style of indie rock that cannot be easily classified. The band's tight syncopated sound comes from years of playing together as 3/5ths of the critically acclaimed band Scrimshaw. Not long after that group disbanded in 2011, Kev Kless (guitar and vocals), Gabe Lader (bass and keys), and Brian Goebbel (drums) started putting together material for a power trio that would eventually become Dead Buckeye Six. In addition to playing a string of memorable live shows, DB6 have been at work on their debut album at Bad Racket Recording Studios in Cleveland. The band also plans on releasing a video for the single "Proletariat King" due out in January. Expect big things from Dead Buckeye Six in 2014 and be ready for their debut album of maximum indie rock due out this winter. The best way to experience DB6 is at one if their many live shows, catch them on tour this spring and summer.
