ABOUT THE EVENT:
Haddad will be interviewed in front of a live audience in the Rock Hall's Foster Theater. Following the interview, Haddad will conduct a musical demonstration where he will use a digital looper to show how tracks are made - specifically tracks that he worked on with Paul Simon. The event will conclude with a Q&A session with the audience.

ABOUT JAMEY HADDAD:
Born in Cleveland Ohio, fresh off a US tour performing with Sting & Paul Simon, percussionist/drummer Jamey Haddad holds a unique position in the world of Jazz and contemporary musical performance and education.

Haddad was voted the top world Percussionist in DRUM Magazine and one of the top 4 world-percussionists by Modern Drummer (July 2007 and again in 2014).

Mr. Haddad collaborates regularly with Osvaldo Golijov, Paul Simon, Simon & Garfunkel, Yo Yo Ma, Sting, Dawn Upshaw, Esperanza Spalding, Alisa Weilerstein, Danilo Perez and Joe Lovano.

Haddad is currently a professor at The Oberlin Conservatory where he is charged with creating a program that examines the common ground between the classical cannon and improvisational music where jazz and classical majors develop personal language in performance ensembles. Haddad had previously taught as a full time Prof. at Berklee College of Music for 18 year’s, CIM, NEC for 12 and the New School for 12 years.
