TWO DATES: MARCH 20 - 21 Open Classical proudly presents “Classically Jazzed”, a program of classical music favorites reinterpreted as jazz. On the first half of the program, Open Classical director Mark Landson and other composers re-imagine classical favorites from Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and other greats as jazz pieces, played by a combo of stellar local talent, including Damon K. Clark on vocals, both Landson and Marek Eneti (Light Crust Doughboys) on violin, Michael Nesuda (The Obscure Dignitaries) on guitar, Thiago Nascimento on piano, and Jonathan Fisher on bass. On the second half of the program, internationally known Polish jazz vocalist Grazyna Auguscik and her band perform jazz arrangements of Chopin and other Polish classical composers, plus some selections from her catalog, including songs by Nick Drake with string quartet accompaniment. ======================== March 20 - 7:30pm The Eisemann Center Bank of America Theater Richardson, TX Tickets: $35 March 21 - 8:00pm The Live Oak Fort Worth, TX Tickets: $25 in advance/$30 at the door For tickets and more details: http://openclassical.org/events/Classically-Jazzed-Classical-Music-Made-Into-Jazz ======================== This special event concert is a collaboration between Open Classical and Xprim International.
