East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) is inviting the Latino community and media to an Open House called “Islamic Roots in the Latino Culture”.

“We are excited about sharing how much of Latino culture is rooted in Islam,” said Saiyad Ahmad, chairman of the EPIC Outreach Committee. “Latinos are the fastest-growing community in Texas and as American Muslims we would like to increase our cooperation and interaction with them.”

EPIC caters to the religious, educational, and social needs of Muslims living in East Plano, Murphy, Sachse, Wylie and North-East Richardson. Some 400 mostly professional Muslim families call the area home.
