The Spirit Of Comics : Celebrating Will Eisner And The Art Of Comic Books

In cooperation with the Eisner Family Foundation, several spots throughout the country have been invited to participate in a series of events to promote graphic novels, sequential art, free speech, and the legacy of Will Eisner. We've designed a one night free event to gather, teach, and share information about comics from their history, to their creation, to the publishing and retail side of things. This event is sponsored by Titan Comics, ArtLoveMagic, Jedigoddess Presents, and WIll Eisner Week. It will include a panel discussion featuring Store owner Jeremy Shorr, Artist and Publisher Michael Lagocki, and Artist Thomas Branch. The panel will be moderated by Christy JediGoddess (of DeepEllumOnAir) ArtLoveMagic welcomes live artists Jc Barba and Amanda Murray to create comic based works of art live. During/following the 60 minute panel, there will be a showing of rare comic book art, including a Will Eisner original, as well as many other originals by famous artists. There will also be time to mingle, draw, share art, and shop. Artists are encouraged to bring their work to share. 7-9pm March 5th Free to attend. Additional info...
