Late last year, the Indian government suddenly announced that two of its bank notes would no longer be legal tender. The move, intended to undermine black markets and terrorism, caused cash shortages, a stock market crash, and even deaths across the country.

Join us for a lecture exploring the circumstances of India’s recent demonetization, its effects, and what it means for India’s future.
