The event creator says
Join us for YAD's next "Cocktails With A Macher" program series! This month we will be honoring Herzl and Hazel Melmed. Herzl and Hazel were both born in South Africa and grew up heavily involved in Israel and Zionist activities, as well as leading the student struggle against Apartheid at the University of Cape Town in 1962. After getting married in 1965, they made Aliyah to Israel and pursued careers in the medical and mental health professions. The Melmeds have lived in Denver since 1976 and have been involved with many organizations in the community. They have received numerous honors recognizing their contributions, and remain active today in a number of organizations in the Jewish community.

Come hear the rest of the Melmed's inspiring story and learn about some of the great things they've done in our Jewish community that make them this program featured Machers*.

This event is open to all members of the community, especially our BGS members and prospects.
