Denver Justice Project says
What do you know about your District Attorney?

The District Attorney is the primary player and most influential role in the criminal justice system. The DA has power, influence, and discretion that historically has gone unchecked and unrecognized by the general public. Power like will crimes be misdemeanors, felonies, or even
field at all, and this includes against law enforcement. DA’s decide how far they want to take those charges, who is eligible for victim’s assistance. Who will be given the death penalty, and so much more making life altering decisions about people daily. Meanwhile normally these races and elections go undetected and sometimes uncontested. The Denver DA is the highest paid state elected official. This office states that it acts on behalf of the people. Well then we should make sure that office is accountable to the people.

This is a community Teach-In geared to educate people about the power and dynamics of a District Attorney's office.
