EKAR: Jewish Urban Farm and Garden says
Beginning the first Sunday of June, Ekar Farm will be open for drop-in volunteers to get their hands dirty and connect with their food! Come by the farm any time on a Sunday from 9 a.m. til 12 p.m. to lend a helping hand in growing food for the hungry. A delicious complimentary bagel breakfast donated by Moe's Bagel Grant Street will be available for volunteers on a first come, first serve basis!

If you have a big group of people you’d like to bring on a Sunday, let us know in advance by signing up online here: http://ekarfarm.org/volunteer-group-sign-up/

NEW! Future Farmers: Every Sunday, 10 a.m.
During our Days in the Dirt, our Educator will provide 30 minutes of FREE fun, family farm activities starting at 10 am for kids ages 4-10! Each week we will explore farm themes like worms, bees, seeds, and more with hands-on, kid-friendly learning activities. Stay updated on the weekly themes by checking our updated schedule below:

Sunday, June 4th - Roots! Dig into the soil to discover the wonders of worms, compost, and how roots of plants depend on dirt.

Sunday, June 11th - Stems & Leaves! Explore how stems and leaves take in water and sun to help plants grow.

Sunday, June 18th - Flowers & Bees! Go beyond the beauty of flowers and honey by learning how pollination grows the foods we love.

Sunday, June 25th - Fruits & Seeds! Connect to the life cycle of plants by dissecting seeds and the fruits they came from.

Ekar Farm is made possible thanks to Denver Academy Of Torah and Rose Community Foundation.
