Walker Fine Art Presents:

Brigan Gresh

Back Gallery Featuring:

Chris Richter
Ana Zanic
Melissa Borrell Design.

The feature artist, Brigan Gresh, will be exhibiting the exploration of her latest
Vessels series—Extraction. She has chosen vessels that hold heirlooms, history and secrets, to deconstruct and use as the projectors of her thoughts. Everything that her physical vessel has witnessed will be entrusted to these surfaces of the past.

3 artists will be showcased in the back gallery, all exploring Extraction. Ana Zanic’s new work will investigate questions of memories, past, and origin. Her work emerges from a process that is both controlled and accidental. A metaphor for the duality of life, where certain things can be controlled, while others happen naturally, on their own.

Chris Richter’s process is one of build up and growth of a painting, followed by the deconstructive process of sanding down through the layers that leads to the discovery and revelation of the image. The surface, both unexpected and seductive, reveals parts unknown and often overlooked.

Melissa Borrell's delicate mylar constructions reference biological, microscopic growth as well as urban and interstellar architectural edifices. She extracts the biological out of the architectural . Organic out of the man made. The shapes move and grow across space as lichen or mold creeps over stone. The constructions are both organic and geometric, alluding to a sense of slow but continuing movement.
