Hamster Theatre At Syntax Presented By Creative Music Works says
Hamster Theatre was founded in 1993 by Dave Willey (accordion and guitar) and Jon Stubbs (keyboards and trombone). After a bit of personnel change, the group’s current lineup was established in 1996 with the addition of Mike Johnson on guitar, Raoul Rossiter or drums, Mark Harris on woodwinds; and most recent addition of Todd Billsborough on bass. Hamster Theatre’s music demonstrates a tremendous range of influences from European bands Nimal, Lars Hollmer’s groups, Toupidek Limonade, and Look de Bouk, to a broad spectrum of American music the players have experience with- free music, metal, jazz, pop, rock, classical, and many varieties of world music. Hamster Theatre has managed to fuse these into a peculiar and unique sound with glorious timbral range. It is music that is surprising, unpredictable, lighthearted, and fascinatingly musical.

Creative Music Works presents the show which marks the first in their "Meet the Board" series where a current board member performs in or curates a show. Mark Harris curates this peformance.

Tickets are $10 general admission; $7 members / students with valid ID.
