ANA TERESA FERNÁNDEZ

Ana Teresa Fernández explores the politics of intermingling identities and the ways it shapes culture and social rhetoric through painting, performance, and video. Her work illuminates the psychological and physical barriers that define gender, race, and class in Western society and the global south.

Fernández’s multi-media project Erasure is featured in Mi Tierra: Contemporary Artists Explore Place.
