Mile High Blues Summit 2016: The Royal Southern Brotherhood: Cyril Neville, Tyrone Vaughan, Jason Ricci says
Royal Southern Brotherhood is a Southern Rock, Blues, R&B, and Soul “Supergroup” of sorts, with a pedigree that is pretty impressive. For one, the group's main singer is the amazing Cyril Neville of Meters and Neville Brothers fame. Guitarist Tyrone Vaughan is the son of Jimmie Vaughan (brother of Stevie Ray). Guitarist/Vocalist Bart Walker has had a critically acclaimed blues guitar history of his own, while bassist Charlie Wooton played in the amazing Zydefunk. Yonrico Scott has been the drummer for Derek Trucks and other high-profile acts as well. A pretty good résumé for a new band…wouldn’t you say? They are signed to Ruf Records and have just released their third disc.

Jason Ricci

Jason Ricci (born February 3, 1974) is an American harmonica player and singer. In addition to his solo albums, Ricci has appeared as a guest harmonica player on albums with Johnny Winter, Nick Curran, Ana Popovic, Walter Trout, Cedric Burnside, The Mannish Boys and Joe Louis Walker among others. Ricci was named "Best Harmonica Player" at the 2010 Blues Music Awards, and has won a Grammy Award for his contribution to the 2014 Johnny Winter album Step Back. In February 2015, Ricci began a national tour with a new band named Jason Ricci and the Bad Kind. Jason was also a featured player on the "Rock-N-Roll Hall Of Fame" induction ceremony in 2015. 2016 finds Jason with a brand new disc with his good friend J.J. Appleton and another year of touring ahead. Jason is a one of a kind player, widening the dimensions of Harmonica Playing...to a world class level. He is not one to be missed live!
