We live in a world where we carry a lot of responsibilities. In yoga, it is said that excess stress can store in the shoulders. Description: We live in a world where we carry a lot of responsibilities. In yoga, it is said that excess stress can store in the shoulders. In this workshop we will be learning shoulder release techniques to create space within the shoulders, while keeping in mind the deeper meaning of carrying less and stress release. In the second part of the workshop, we will weave this new knowledge into a Kriaplu style yoga class. Kripalu yoga is a style of yoga that focuses on becoming a witness to what's going on within, and using yoga as a tool to tune into and feel the true nature of the body.

About Alexandra: Alexandra is a passionate Integrative Yoga Therapist and Kripalu Yoga teacher from South Florida. Within her teachings, Alexandra focuses on balance and body-awareness. While working with the breath and taking into consideration the aspects of life that can cause imbalance, Alexandra uses various types of yoga-strengthening and relaxing, breath work, and the use of props to create a new muscle memory of balance within the body.
