Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History says
Ford Motor Company and the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History are pleased to announce the 18th Annual Ford Freedom Awards, honoring Men of Courage.

Over 1,500 VIPs, celebrities and individuals will come together at the Awards Ceremony to pay tribute and honor African American men! It will be the largest major awards show to exclusively celebrate the successes and contributions of African American men in the country.

The Gala (Reception & Awards Ceremony) consists of a strolling dinner reception and awards ceremony recognizing and celebrating the Ford Freedom Award Recipients, it also includes video tributes and musical performances by Angie Stone and Doug E. Fresh.

The event will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 6 PM – 9 PM at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra Hall, 3711 Woodward Ave., Detroit, MI 48201.
