Trinosophes says
Alan Licht is a musician, journalist and sound artist. Heavily influenced by minimalism, he has released numerous recordings under his own name, and with the bands Love Child, Run On and The Pacific Ocean. Licht has also worked with Loren Mazzacane Connors, Jim O Rourke, The Boredoms and others at the intersection of rock, art music and sound art. His two books are An Emotional Memoir of Martha Quinn (2000) and Sound Art: Beyond Music, Between Categories (2007).

Apetechnology is an electro-mechanical art and sound collective that builds robots and automatons; designs and creates acoustic and electric instruments, as well as all the circuitry and programming that drives them. Much of the material is repurposed industrial machinery, mixed with whimsical or spooky elements. The Nikola Teslas of Detroit music!

Sam Hooker's solo set can be composed of any number of elements, including lapsteel, tape machines, percussion and electronics. Sometimes there's portions with voals, other times the set is more of a sonic environment or Musique Concrete piece. Is this guy 30 yet?

Doors at 8 pm; $10 suggested.
