It has been about one year since the state of Michigan finally acknowledged the water problems in Flint. Anna Clark, a well-known journalist in Detroit, is writing a book about the Flint water crisis to be published by Metropolitan Books, an imprint of Henry Holt and Company. For a one-year update, Anna will talk with us about the current environment in Flint and about her upcoming book.

Anna Clark is a freelance journalist who is now living in Ann Arbor as a Knight-Wallace journalism fellow at the University of Michigan. Her writing has appeared in ELLE Magazine, The New York Times, The New Republic, NBCNews.com, POLITICO Magazine, The Washington Post, The American Prospect, Next City, Grantland, and other publications. She is a political media correspondent for the Columbia Journalism Review as part of its United States Project. Her writing is a “notable” pick in Best American Sports Writing 2012; a “best commentary” finalist from the 2015 Mirror Awards; and a 2016 first-place winner from SPJ-Detroit in online investigative reporting.
