Plowshares Theatre Company will hold open auditions for Cheryl West's BEFORE IT HITS HOME on June 4. Jazz musician Wendal Bailey has been diagnosed with a deadly disease that threatens his career, his relationships and his life. At his most vulnerable moment, after everyone else has abandoned him, Wendal must seek support a father he really doesn't know. Can they bridge the distance between them?

Date & Hours of Auditions: Saturday, June 4. Audition times will be assigned by PTC. Hours are from 12 PM to 4:30 PM.

Location of Auditions: Non-Equity auditions for the plays will be held at the Carr Center, 311 Woodward Avenue, Detroit MI 48201.

Appointments: Actors may request a specific appointment time by calling 313.744.3181

Preparation: Actors interested in auditioning for the play will be reading from select scenes from the script.

Note: Callbacks will be conducted at the discretion of the director.

Contract: Non-equity talent is paid a flat weekly fee for rehearsal. Performance salary is based on level of experience.
