In conjunction with the opening of the Detroit 67: Perspectives exhibition, the Detroit Historical Museum is planning a two-day community appreciation event. Admission is FREE.

Timed entry tickets to see the exhibition will be available starting at 10 am. Please inquire at the main desk at the Kirby door. Tickets will be first come first serve and are limited to ensure a quality experience and prevent overcrowding.

Special events will begin at 11 am.

DAILY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

Community Gallery (2nd Floor)
11 am-12 pm & 1-2 pm: Drop-in exhibition discussions
3-4 pm (Saturday) Scholar chat with Timothy Kiska
3-4 pm (Sunday) Scholar chat with Ken Coleman

Wrigley Hall (Lower Level)
11 am-4 pm: Family friendly activities

Auditorium (Lower Level)
1-1:30 pm (Saturday): Film screening - In Pursuit of Hope
2 pm (Saturday): Film screening - 1967
1-3pm (Sunday): Recorded live performance - 12th Street

Grand Trunk Passenger Station (Lower Level)
11-11:30 am & 2-2:30 pm: Learn to Conduct Oral Histories Workshop
12-2 pm: Oral History Showcase

Legends Plaza (Outdoors)
11 am-4 pm: Food available for purchase

Look for more special programming during the Detroit 67: Perspectives Opening Week, from Monday, June 26 - Friday, June 30. Free events will include daily brown bag lunch discussions, curator chats, and partner showcases and are listed at detroit1967.org.
