Detroit Open Forum 2.0 Featuring Dac Director Melissa Miller says
Detroit Open Forum 2.0 Featuring Detroit Animal Control Director Melissa Miller, and produced by WA2S Films & the World Animal Awareness Society co-hosted by Executive Director Tom McPhee and Woodhaven Mayor Patricia Muccianti Odette

This open forum will be an exploration of how the South East Michigan animal welfare and rescue community can cooperatively collaborate with Detroit Animal Control.

This open forum will be filmed for PBS's 2017 season.

Detroit Open Forum 2.0 will explore the relationship between the community and citizens of Detroit with their companion animals as seen through animal care and control and authorized agencies of animal welfare serving the city of Detroit.

This will be your second opportunity to meet Detroit's new Director of Animal Control Melissa Miller.

Although there will be a short amount of time to look back at the history of the DAC in Detroit, the vast majority of Detroit Open Forum 2.0 (90+%) will be devoted to new ideas and new solutions and how all parties wishing to make a difference, can come together to solve decades old problems respectfully.

This will be the second "Town Hall" style meeting in 10 days, the other being "A Townhall meeting, sponsored by Paws in the D, on January 21 from 6-9 p.m. at Christ the King Church at 20800 Grand River Ave, Detroit, MI 48219" Both of these events will be filmed by WA2S Films for the American Strays Trilogy for PBS. You must RSVP to JMartin@michiganhumane.org to be included in this "Townhall" on the 21st. They are not accepting walk-ins.
