Downtown Street Eats supported by Sanders returns for the season on March 17 with a St. Patrick’s Day celebration featuring Irish-themed food and fun from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. This event kicks off the annual downtown culinary destination at Cadillac Square which runs through mid-October.

The season’s first food truck rally will feature Irish-themed options, games, music and dancing. DJ Skeez will be playing a mix of Irish and contemporary music, Flanagan-O'Hare School of Irish Dance Michigan will perform traditional dances of Ireland, and Sanders Chocolates will also be serving up Detroit’s favorite sweets.

In addition to regular menu offerings, each food vendor will be creating at least one Irish or Irish-inspired meal for the day. Highlights include the Irish Cheer from Rollin Stone Wood Fired Pizza, which features creamy leek sauce and mozzarella cheese topped with bacon, potato, Irish cheddar cheese and olive oil; and the Paddy Bowl from Delectabowl Food Truck & Catering, a roasted potato base topped with slow cooked corn beef, brussel sprouts and parmesan mustard sauce.

Other participating food trucks are High Octane Food Truck, Lazybones Smokehouse, Grillwich Tot Stop Foodtruck, The Soup Dive, Delectabowl Food Truck & Catering, Beans & Cornbread, Buffy’s Mexi-Casian, Chick-A-Dee and Detroit Shrimp & Fish.
