Dream Deferred: Detroit, 1967 (Extended Through July 9) says
An original production, created by Matrix Theatre Company, based on interviews recorded by Dr. Xavier Nicholas

"Dream Deferred: Detroit, 1967" now playing (extended through July 9) on Fridays and Saturdays at 8PM and Sundays at 3PM

Reflecting on this formative moment in our city's history, this original production unearths, for the first time, real interviews recorded by Dr. Xavier Nicholas following that summers uprising. "Dream Deferred: Detroit, 1967" gives voice to the unique experiences and perspectives of a cross-section of Detroiters to find out what really happened and how we can learn from the pain of our shared past.

This production is directed by David Wolber, devised by Megan Buckley-Ball, David Wolber, Dr. Harvey Reed, and Dr. Xavier Nicholas. The production team includes Elspeth Williams, Alex Gay, Lauren Montgomery, and Sarah Drum. "Dream Deferred: Detroit, 1967" stars Melissa Beckwith, Joshua Brown, Katie Fullerton, Jonathan Jones, and Mike Sandusky.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students, seniors, active military service members, and veterans.
