Join Emerging Arts Leaders Detroit (EALD) for our March Happy Hour at the new Café 78 inside Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD. Connect with other arts mangers starting at 5:30, and then at 6PM we’ll announce the EALD Steering Committee and speak with MOCAD’s Amy Corle, Curator of Education and Public Engagement. We’ll also let you in on how we are taking stock of emerging arts managers across Detroit. Also at MOCAD that night is Orleans + Winder and Psychological Services. Check out the event page for more info: www.facebook.com/events/951366151562307/ Supporting the next generation of cultural administrators and leaders is a crucial component to advancing Detroit’s artistic community. A young professional arts network will strengthen the skill-set of young arts leaders, create deeper connections, opportunities, and collaborations in the arts. Ultimately, EALD strives for a more vibrant, interconnected arts and culture sector. EALD is a volunteer-led (Steering Committee) program of Forward Arts that provides professional development opportunities for arts administrators across metropolitan Detroit. Curators, critics, administrators, and educators are invited to engage in culture-centered field trips, happy hours, culture centered forums and more.
