Join us for an informal gallery talk with Jim Pujdowski, curator of NATURAL SELECTION WORKS.

The ten artists selected for this exhibition have the untiring desire to create. I strongly feel their work needs this celebration and your attention. Each artist stands on their own and together they signify the strength of what is Detroit art. Enjoy this exhibition as much as I have in selecting each artist for this exhibition.

Jim Pujdowski is a longtime member of the Detroit Artistic Community. He received both his BFA and his MFA in painting from Wayne State University. Jim’s work was represented by the Feigenson Gallery in Detroit, and the Feigenson/Preston Gallery in Birmingham. His work is on permanent display at the IBM building in Southfield, the Detroit Athletic Club, and 17 works included in the James F. Duffy collection’s gift to Wayne State University in 2009. Jim recently retired from University Liggett School after 23 years of teaching art. While at Liggett, Jim was the Gallery Coordinator and featured over 170 Michigan Artists to exhibit their work. Mr. Pujdowski also taught art for ten years at Wayne Sate University and for seven years at Henry Ford Community College. He has juried dozens of exhibitions in the greater Detroit area.
