The Whisky Parlor says
Great live Detroit jazz and blues in an historic downtown room, filled with artifacts and whisky. This week we're pleased to have one of Detroit's best musicians, Michael L. Jellick.

You worked hard all week, played hard all weekend, now it's time to be a little lazy and enjoy your Sunday evening.

MICHAEL JELLICK
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Born in New Delhi, India, and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Michael Jellick has been playing piano since the age of two. He started playing jazz while in high school, where he learned jazz playing and composing primarily through auto-didacticism.

Mike has enjoyed spending time either touring, on stage, and/or in the studio with Rodney Whitaker, Carl Allen, Wes Anderson, Stanley Jordan, Marcus Belgrave, Christian McBride, Sean Dobbins, Ingrid Jensen, Terreon Gulley, Jesse Palter, Sean Jones, as well as other notable artists. Mike has his own private studio teaching both jazz and classical theory and performance. As for the midwest scene, he can be found at The Dirty Dog Cafe with various Mack Avenue record artists and others Detroit jazz fixtures, as well as the club he calls his home in Detroit: Cliff Bells.
