In her new solo exhibit, The More We Get Together, Megan Heeres offers a unique experience for the audience, engaging you in the production of the installation during the exhibition. You will have the opportunity to learn how to make handmade paper with the artist and make your own mark within the gallery. Gathering non-native and invasive plant matter from Detroit, Heeres has developed a fascinating palette of pulp that will grow throughout the space at Re:View Gallery. A one-of-a-kind book will house all the names and experiences of the participants involved in the installation. Heeres regards you as her collaborators. The More We Get Together opens to the public on Saturday, March 21, with a reception from 6 pm to 9 pm. The exhibit will extend through both gallery spaces. In Gallery 2 space, Megan Heeres will be including works by guest collaborators Corrie Baldauf, Laura Beyer, Katie Caron, Tim Eads, Susan Goethel Campbell, Gerhardt Knodel, and Quynh Vantu. Attire: Casual, galoshes are encouraged (some will be provided). ---------------------------- ABOUT MEGAN HEERES A native Michigander, Megan Heeres returned home from the West Coast in 2007 to study at Cranbrook Academy of Art, fell in love with Detroit, and settled there.
