Michigan Civil Rights Commission Meeting says
The Michigan Civil Rights Commission will host a regular public meeting at 5 pm on Monday, June 1, at the Arab American National Museum, 13624 Michigan Avenue in Dearborn, 48126. The meeting will be held in the museum auditorium.

Rana Abbas, Director of Communications and Marketing for ACCESS will provide an update on TAKE ON HATE, a multi-year, grassroots campaign to challenge this country’s growing prejudice and persistent misconception of Arab and Muslim Americans. TAKE ON HATE opposes and stands against all forms of hate and bigotry toward any group of people.

Individuals who wish to address the Commission on civil rights issues will have an opportunity to speak during the public comment period at the end of the meeting.

The Michigan Civil Rights Commission was created by the Michigan Constitution to carry out constitutional and legal guarantees against discrimination. The Commission is charged with investigating alleged discrimination against any person because of religion, race, color or national origin, sex, age, marital status, height, weight, arrest record, and physical and mental disability.
