Join the DIA in celebrating the music and dance legacy of Prince with an open-air party on the museum's Woodward Plaza! ARTLAB J programs an evening of music and dance w/ DJ Thornstryker spinning some of Prince’s best tracks from 7 to 9, joined by emcee Rich Rice and Detroit community dancers performing free-style and challenging each other to spontaneous dance battles. At 9:30 the dancing will continue with a live performance by The Mighty Funhouse and special guests. Non-alcoholic beverages can be purchased from 7 to 9 and there will be a cash bar from 9 to 11.

This event is free, but reservations are required. Click here to register: bit.ly/DIAPrinceTribute.

*Please note: Access to the upper plaza on Woodward where the cash bar is located will be restricted to the 800 who registered via EventBrite. The lower plaza on Woodward will be open to all others, but will not have beverage or bar service.

All visitors can enjoy refreshments in CaféDIA and Kresge Court. Other options include Maccabees at Midtown, located across the street from the museum at 5057 Woodward Ave., which will be offering drink specials throughout the evening, and Chartreuse Kitchen & Cocktails, located next to the museum on the corner of Woodward Ave. and Kirby St.

We look forward to celebrating Prince with all of you on June 10!
