ROAR— Reaching Out and Advocating for Refugees — is a special fundraiser for our newest community members. Please join ROAR and the Scarab Club for a fun and inspiring evening of live World Music, Art and Dance, small plates, silent auction, and libations all in support of Syrian refugees working to build new lives in Southeast Michigan. Refugees who have come to Michigan with literally only the clothes on their backs.

ROAR at the multi-level historic Scarab Club, Detroit’s oldest art institution, located directly behind the Detroit Institute of Arts, brings together activists, philanthropists, neighbors, artists, and world-celebrated entertainers.

ROAR at the Scarab Club will feature:

- A rare and special performance by: Blackman/Arnold
Wildly popular guitar duo Sean Blackman and John Arnold (along with remarkable latin, jazz, and Arab music performers) are reuniting for a very intimate, limited ticket performance for the sole reason to assist and improve the lives of Syrian refugees in Detroit.
- Featured World Dance
- Mediterranean Mezza (Small plates, vegan-friendly)
- Silent Auction
- VIP Reception
- Art Exhibit featuring Detroit Artists: Bugs Blooms
and Beasts
- Entertainment also in the historic garden, weather pending

For sponsorship info and to purchase tickets to the VIP reception, please contact us. See you there!

Proceeds from ROAR will help refugees in the form of household items, medical expenses, transportation, job training, and English language studies.
