Time Out says
Welcome back! This week we're getting into some of my favorite live production, and paying homage to hip hop, trip hop and electro funk.
**K@dog -
With dynamic and divergent influences such as Modest Mouse, Elliott Smith, Big L, The Pixies, Grateful Dead, and J Dilla, you might wonder what exactly Grant “K@DOG” Jackson is doing in Detroit’s electronic music scene. He is here to dose you with his most potent medicine, that’s what. K@DOG has been a local flavor in the community since 2009, and he continues to take his musical endeavors to new heights as his library expands to a variety of flavors from house to breaks, from hip hop and R&B to jazz. He remains utterly in love with bass music and maintains this devotion in every set. Awakened by the high-vibrational frequency of the eclectic yet tastefully balanced K@DOG experience, you cannot help but feel blissfully inspired to indulge and expand into all sorts of freakish flowing movement. K@DOG puts special intention into his work, which he considers a most powerful form of self expression, and this is reflected in the deep connection he shares with his audience. K@DOG appreciates the Detroit scene for its rich history, variety of electronic music styles, and all the beautiful music lovers who come out to support.
