Gesu Catholic Church and School says
Join Gesu Church, friends, and neighbors as we "Walk For Hope : Walk Against Violence" on Good Friday evening April 3 through our community.

5:30pm - Meet on the lawn of Gesu Catholic Elementary School on W. McNichols, across from the University of Detroit Mercy McNichols entrance.

6:00pm - Walk begins from Gesu, on Livernois to 7 Mile and back. Rain or shine.

Join others with a sign stating your hopes for Detroit. Start with “ WE HOPE FOR...”

The walk is a public demonstration of solidarity among neighbors and those effected by violence in our community, as prompted by the shooting of Gesu parishioner, Judge Terry Berg. The walk is a means of seeking peace, forgiveness, reconciliation, and inspiring hope.

Gesu Church will be open throughout the walk for vigil prayer. Walkers will assemble in the church sanctuary for a simple candle light prayer service at the conclusion of the demonstration.
