Time Out says

A bit brutal on the outside, this hotel’s chic interior and superior amenities, including a summer terrace and indoor pool invite you to stay

Behind the brutalist facade of this chain is a superior hotel. Newly renovated, the interior is stylishly minimal with streamlined Scandinavian decor. It’s filled with all the amenities you’ll want and more: an indoor pool, gym, bar and comfortable summer terrace with a bit of green shade. Business travelers heading to meetings at nearby IBM or the ZDF broadcaster make the hotel feel less full during the day, though it gets a bit livelier in the lounge as they sip cocktails in the designer bar at night.

Neighborhood: Quiet at night, Dusseldorf Nord is the city’s business district with more office buildings than residents. Just a few steps from the U-Bahn stop at Golzheimer Platz, the Radisson Blu is equi-distance to the airport and the Altstadt, making it a perfect halfway point for out-of-town travelers. It’s true selling point is the Rhine Promenade right out the front door, an inviting riverfront path perfect for a daytime stroll or sunset run.

Nearby:
Squarebar: For colorful and unique cocktail creations.
Agata’s: For Michelin-starred indulgence and the best in contemporary European cuisine.
Museum Kunstpalast: For art lovers, a journey through art history.

Time Out tip: Booking online a fortnight in advance will save you up to 20%. To save even more, skip the overpriced breakfast and grab a croissant and coffee to go and stroll along the nearby Rhine Promenade for a refreshing way to wake up.
