Edinburgh Zoo are hosting a celebration of one of their most popular animals over the festive season in the form of the Penguin Festival, which is free with zoo admission. Besides the daily penguin parade, and the bonus joy of watching the little black and white critters entertain themselves with a bubble machine in their enclosure, there’ll also be an installation by German artist Ottmar Hörl featuring a colony of 120 black and white penguin models, plus penguin film screenings, penguin storytelling and other penguin-themed fun.
