Disney on Ice - yes, with Frozen - coming to Glasgow in 2015

You love 'Frozen'. Of course you love 'Frozen'. And if you don't love 'Frozen', you at least pretend to love 'Frozen' whenever it comes up in conversation with the nearest small girl you know. And it will invariably come up. It's all they talk about, except maybe loom bands. (Also, you can get 'Frozen' loom bands. Christmas: sorted.)

Disney, the studio behind 'Frozen', have cannily seen that the film contains something of an icy element (nothing gets by them), and have incorporated it into their Disney on Ice: Magical Ice Festival live touring show. In addition to Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven, audiences of squealing little girls and their haggard, long-suffering parents will also enjoy appearances from Mickey and Minnie Mouse, 'Beauty and the Beast's Belle, 'Tangled's Rapunzel and 'The Little Mermaid's Ariel - who, given the issues she had with walking, might not be the best fit for the ice rink.

Disney on Ice: Magical Ice Festival visits Glasgow's SSE Hydro for eight performances from Thu Mar 26-Sun Mar 29, which is just about when the seasonal 'Frozen' mania would normally be dying down, what with winter ending. Thanks to this event though, you'll be hearing 'Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?' well into June (when, coincidentally, 'Let It Go' singer Idina Menzel visits Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall as part of her UK tour).

Disney on Ice: Magical Ice Festival, SSE Hydro, Thu Mar 26-Sun Mar 29. Idina Menzel, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Wed Jun 24.
