Hong Kong French Film Festival
Time Out says
The Hong Kong French Film Festival is back for its 48th outing with a whole new boatload of acclaimed movies. Organised by the Alliance Française de Hong Kong, the film festival will feature a total of 40 films and over 90 screenings all across the city from November 22 to December 10. Local film fans will be able to catch a slew of acclaimed French films from all types of genre including films like: A Brother's Love, a hilarious story that follows Sophia, a 35 year old unemployed academic and her relationship with her brother, Forward, an emotional documentary that takes a look at how the children from less developed countries are changing the world, and Terra Willy, a lighthearted animation that tells the story of young Willy and his adventures with Buck, a survival robot he befriends on a wild and unexplored planet. Whatever floats your boat (or popcorn) there's something for everyone.
As an added bonus, a special photo exhibition by film set photographer Raymond Cauchetier will also be held from November 7 to 24 during Retrospective: “60th Anniversary of French New Wave”, a celebration of the 60th anniversary of French New Wave.
