Time Out says

As part of their commitment to creating a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment, The Upper House shows solidarity and celebrates the LGBTQI+ community with a wide range of events this June for Pride Month. A portion of their profits from select initiatives will be donated to Hong Kong Marriage Equality, a non-profit organisation advocating equality for same-sex couples.

Enjoy the perfect staycation with your partner

Check into one of The Upper House’s Studio 80 island view rooms with your partner to enjoy their Love is Love room package from $3800. Upon entering, you’re greeted with plenty of welcome amenities such as cookies from the Baking Mania, the hotel’s signature scented candles and full-sized amenities from Bamford. Head to Salisterra to enjoy a half-dozen oysters and premium Champagne to enjoy the perfect sunset. When you’re ready to unwind for the night, don your matching Malabar loungewear sets and Slip Silk sleeping masks from JOYCE Beauty.

Including a daily set breakfast from Salisterra and complimentary maxi bar amenities, reserve your stay by calling 3968 1111 to make Pride Month even more special with your partner.

Eat and drink up in style

Enjoy the ‘LGBTQ’ at Salisterra, a refreshing cocktail with a gradient rainbow design made with Stolichnaya vodka, blue curacao, a trio of fruit juices and a dash of bubbles. If that’s not your style, try the ‘Corpse Reviver No. 2’, a Tanqueray gin-based cocktail with Lillet Blanc, Cointreau, absinthe and lemon. At a stone’s throw away, The Continental offers ‘Pride and Joy’, a delicate blend of tequila, smoky whisky, passion fruit, and grapefruit – topped with cream and egg white. For each drink sold, five percent of proceeds will be donated to Hong Kong Marriage Equality.

Stop by the new Family Food pop-up store at Level 6 to enjoy juices and salads. Presenting ‘The Rainbow’ ($195), this kaleidoscope features colourful ingredients like pickled beetroot, cherry tomatoes, mixed greens, oranges, sourdough croutons, and more. Similarly, Family Food will also be donating five percent of its proceeds to Hong Kong Marriage Equality.

Relish in entertainment happenings

Catch local drag queen Madame Mincemeat as she makes her appearance at the hotel’s vibrant cocktail lounge, Green Room, on June 24 for two performances. With energetic music, choreography, and gorgeous costumes; Madame Mincemeat’s performance will have you out of your seats dancing in excitement. Available from $650 per person, including free-flow Pride Month cocktails, wine and nibbles, five percent of proceeds will be donated to Hong Kong Marriage Equality. Catch her from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and 9pm to 11pm. Click here for tickets.
