13 Celsius Presents An Experiment In Terroir Part 8: Sangiovese says
Save the date for our eighth installment of our Experiment in Terroir series, where we turn our focus to the many expressions of a famous native red Italian grape: sangiovese. On Wednesday, February 22, we will share what makes this grape fascinating, featuring a flight of five diverse sangiovese from around Italy. Native to Tuscany, sangiovese has grown in the Central Italy region for hundreds of years and is the star of Tuscany’s celebrated Chianti region.

The sangiovese grape is known to be a bit of a chameleon; easily altering its genetics to fit the environment, resulting in many different varieties and tastes. From the delicate floral strawberry aromas of Montefalco Rosso to the intensely dark and tannic wines of Brunello di Montalcino, sangiovese wine has something for everyone.

We invite you to explore and taste the different expressions of this red grape through five different wines presented side-by-side. Our knowledgeable staff will be present to explain the wines and answer any questions. Come expand your palate and, of course, we’ll be offering bottles of these wines at a special one-day-only retail price.

Wednesday, February 22
5-8 p.m.
