#GumboSmackdown is benefiting Lunches of Love, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is committed to helping end childhood hunger in Rosenberg-Richmond by providing a free nutritious sack lunch during extended school holidays and weekends.

This event also supports Second Servings of Houston, a local prepared food rescue organization, picking up surplus unserved food and delivering it promptly and safely to shelters, soup kitchens, and low-income housing.
