The event creator says
You are invited to a reading of an accompanying text on Thursday May 21 at She Works Flexible. The curator of She Works Flexible, Lynne McCabe, made a request for a text to accompany the exhibit, "I perceive the other and lose myself", featuring Autumn Knight and Sofia Córdova. The text that will be heard is the result of this request. The text accompanies this exhibit. The text thinks through what it might mean to accompany. This text reflects this request for a text to accompany an art exhibition. The text is a bit confused about what it should do or how it should exist in the world. Thus the text wanders a bit, groping, grasping. The text gets caught up in the midst of numerous conflict zones, here and there. The text is working flexible. How can text sidle up next to something? How can a text accompany anyone or anything? What exactly is accompanied by an accompanying text? How might this text accompany you? This text isn’t trying to be meta, it’s just trying to figure out how it might exist.
