REMEMBERING WILLIAM STERN AND THOMAS COLBERT

Noted architect and teacher William F. Stern (1947-2013) was an avid art collector who built a house around his notable collection of contemporary art. In the house, art and architecture created an artistic synergy.Thomas Colbert (1954-2015), a distinguished member of the UH faculty for 35 years, a teacher, researcher and architect, was also a clandestine artist. Over the years he created a vast collection of enigmatic ink drawings that explore the subconscious wanderings of the line.
