Houston Museum of African American Culture says
Building Bridges Over Rising Waters: Art of Post Katrina New Orleans is an exhibition brought to the Houston Museum of African American Culture by Jason Lebeau. Artists Charles Siler, Darryl Montana, Jerome Ford, Kenneth Scott, Richard Thomas Terrance Osborne and Sheila Phipps will express through visual arts, the resilience of this unique city and the people who reside within it. This exhibition is a valiant effort by Jason LeBeau and Dominic R. Clay to bring a small piece of New Orleans to Houston as a gift. A gift, not only to the people who were displaced due to Hurricane Katrina but also as a gift to the city of Houston who also knows too well the troubles of rising waters.
